August 2021:  Hilltop provided 43,000 total cubic yards of Ready Mixed Concrete to multiple locations along Queen City Ave as part of the Lick Run Greenway revitalization project. The $110 million Lick Run Greenway project is the largest and costliest portion of the Metropolitan Sewer District’s $2 billion upgrade of Cincinnati’s sewer infrastructure. This project will not only eliminate nearly half a billion gallons of sewage-tainted stormwater seeping into the Ohio River, but also help to revitalize the surrounding areas of South Fairmont and East Price Hill. May 2021:  The Deal Maker Awards are the industry standard in the Tri-State region for recognizing excellence in mergers, acquisitions and corporate finance transactions. The Deal Maker program recognizes outstanding organizations and individuals with proven track records of leadership, innovation and success through the art of the deal. The Deal Maker Awards Program is one of the most prominent business events in the city and Hilltop is honored to have been chosen as an Honoree for the 2021 Deal Maker Awards.  Read the ACG Announcement here.

March 2021:  DP&L and Duke Energy needed sand, limestone, and gravel for landfill projects at multiple power stations. Over 400,000 net tons of aggregates were needed in a short time window and the locations were unable to accept such large deliveries safely due to space and access restrictions. January 2021:  Cincinnati Children’s is building a new five-story, 249 bed critical care building expansion at the Burnet Campus in Cincinnati.  Hilltop Companies provided over 27,000 cubic yards across 10 different mix designs of ready-mixed concrete throughout the multi-phased project.  Read about our involvement here.

December 2020:  Cincinnati’s Ronald McDonald House provides a home for critically ill children and their families while they get the life-saving medical care they need. This December, they became the largest Ronald McDonald House in the world. Hilltop Companies is honored to have been a part of the construction process.  Read about our involvement here.

October 2020:  As part of their focus on leading the battle against cancer, St. Elizabeth Healthcare spent more than $140 million to build and equip a new cancer center on their Edgewood, Kentucky campus. The six-story tower is more than 250,000 square feet and includes a 638-car parking garage. Working with Turner Construction and Lithko, Hilltop Companies provided nearly 8,000 cubic yards of ready-mixed concrete. Read more about Hilltop’s involvement here.

September 2020: Originally a bank, River Haus is now a five-story luxury apartment building. The Covington City Commission bought the building and developed the location to help attract more businesses. The building needed to blend in with the existing historic elements and the project included a variety of structures, including a parking garage. Wilhelm Construction led the project and chose Hilltop due to the company’s performance on a previous project. Hilltop provided 10,000 cubic yards of ready-mixed concrete for the garage and the project was completed last Fall. Read and download River Haus Case Study here.

August 2020: Hilltop Companies used innovative concrete technologies for an OTR redevelopment project.  Their involvement with the project earned Hilltop a 2019 Slag Cement Project of the Year Award in the category of Architectural Design. April 2020: Hilltop Companies Mourns the Loss of Cincinnati Great, John Steele, Sr.  John passed away on April 12th, Easter Sunday, at the age of 95.  His presence in the Hilltop offices and sites will be greatly missed. Read our thoughts about John here.
